Jason K. Hou, MD, MS received his medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. He completed his residency and a fellowship in gastroenterology and hepatology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He was Chief Medical Resident at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center and St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital.
 
Dr. Hou is on the medical staff at Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center and a staff physician at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, where he is Medical Director of Inflammatory Bowel Diseases. He is Assistant Professor of Medicine and Research Director of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease Center at Baylor College of Medicine.
 
Dr. Hou’s clinical and research focus is on clinical outcomes, quality improvement, and patient-centered comparative effectiveness of colorectal cancer prevention in patients with IBD. Dr. Hou’s work appears in more than 50 abstracts and he has been published in almost as many peer-reviewed manuscripts. He has been an invited presenter and speaker in numerous meetings and conferences across the county.
 
Dr. Hou is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), and the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). He is an expert moderator in the ACG & CCFA IBD Circle and he is on the executive board and Chapter Medical Advisory Committee Co-Chair of the South Texas Chapter of CCFA.

Alan C. Moss, MD, graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and earned his doctorate at University College Dublin. He completed a residency and fellowship at Mater Misericoradiae University Hospital, and an advanced fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) in Boston.

Dr. Moss is Director Translational Research at the Center for Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Program Director for the IBD Fellowship program at BIDMC. He is also an attending gastroenterologist at BIDMC and Associate Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Moss's research interests include fecal transplantation and the analysis of intestinal luminal fluid for exosomal RNA as a means of monitoring disease activity in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). He has edited multiple books, authored 11 book chapters, and has been published in over 100 peer-reviewed papers and periodicals including Gut, Clinical Gastroenterology & Hepatology, American Journal of Gastroenterology, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, and the European Journal of Immunology. He is an Associate Editor for the Journal of Crohn's & Colitis, Frontline Gastroenterology (BMJ), and the World Journal of Gastroenterology.

Dr. Moss is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association (AGA), and the European Board of Gastroenterology. He has served on the National Immunology & Inflammatory Bowel Diseases Section of the AGA Institute Council, and is part of the Pilot Study Steering Committee of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) Clinical Research Alliance, as well as the National Professional Education Committee of CCFA.

Raluca Vrabie, MD, graduated from Cooper Union with a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering. She earned her medical degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine where she also completed a residency in Internal Medicine. She completed her GI training at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
 
Dr. Vrabie is a gastroenterologist on faculty at Winthrop University Hospital, located in Mineola, New York. She is Director of the Winthrop Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Center. Dr. Vrabie has an academic appointment from Stony Brook School of Medicine, where she is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine, and she is the gastroenterology fellowship director at Winthrop University Hospital. Her practice model is based on patient engagement in the decision-making process and includes detailed discharge instruction sheets, phone calls to explain lab results, and webinars detailing medication side effects.
 
Dr. Vrabie is very active locally and nationally in the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). Locally, she sits on the board of the Long Island chapter, and she is co-president of the CMAC (chapter medical advisory committee). She captains a team for the annual walk Take Steps and speaks for events such as the Family Symposium or Program in a Box. She is also a member of the national CCFA Professional Education committee.
